Icons of South Maharashtra

South Maharashtra has played a pivot role in the progress and development of our country. It is fast emerging as an industrial hub and is already a front runner in the Engineering, Automobile, agro-based and co-operative Industries. Education sector has escalated to its paramount. Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara showcase a strong and rich blend of ancient traditions, heritage, culture and still contemporary in outlook. The region is one of the shining examples in the co-operative movement of India.

'Icons of South Maharashtra' is the fourth of Lokmat's Coffee table book series. Lokmat group through this initiative has recognised some of dynamic and vibrant leaders who have brought in the change which they had ever visualized and made a difference in the lives of all around them. The compilation is Lokmat Group's tribute and admiration to their business acumen and strategic leadership.

The book was unveiled at a grand ceremony on 19th November 2014 in Kolhapur at the hands of actor and producer Mr. Ajay Devgn. Also, present on the occasion was Lokmat group's Chairman Shri Vijay Darda.
